There probably are more seeing that we did nothing but listen to non stop music, sleep very little, and drink/party for a straight 5 days but how else should any music festival be enjoyed?

Major thanks to all the staff, volunteers, venue staff and musicians for making Halifax Pop Explosion great. We certainly are putting it up there with North By North East as one of the funnest times we have had at a music festival.

Two Hours Traffic Release Video For “Happiness Burns” Directed by Richie Mitchell

Check out the video from Two Hours Traffic for “Happiness Burns” & listen to more music on their Myspace Page. Video was directed by Richie Mitchell and shot May 2010 in Toronto luckily before any of the G20 took over the town. The open scene of flying a kite would have not been allowed if shot one month later, not sure what would have happened to the kids but I think I saw Toronto Police Bill Blair displaying some of their weapons, the kids luckily ditched their ‘weapons’ early enough to avoid the detention cages?

Like Apples? Well How Do You Like Those Apples?

Boxer The Horse is easily getting the attention they deserve be it from reviews, lots of CBC Radio 3 airtime, to @SaidTheWhale giving them some spotlight on Twitter as well as @LibraryVoices

The Prince Edward Island natives  may be calling Charlottetown home now but after opening for The New Pornographers during the 2010 Halifax Pop Explosion (*Presented in association with the Halifax Pop Explosion) the spotlight hopefully will bring them onto the open road on cross country tour opening in a slot which they have well deserved with the most recent release “Would You Please” (Collagen Rock). Take a look at their video for Bad Apples shot by a close friend of the band Gavin Keen.

Post Festival(s) Trying to Remember Everything From Evolve & SappyFest

The last two weekends have seen some great times in Atlantic Canada with Evolve in Nova Scotia and SappyFest in New Brunswick. The EastCoastMusic.tv video crew (crew being used loosely to describe one person) were at both festivals and have a good bit of content to work through so if you missed out you can still not feel overly bad about being lame.
